The Five Senses of Your Brand

At Firecircle, we spend a lot of time working with clients on creating a sense of place in their tourism businesses. There is no more powerful way to connect with your customers than by appealing to their senses.  How you make them feel is a huge part of building your brand.  

Using the five senses of sight, sound, touch, smell and taste is a surprisingly simple way of adding depth and authenticity to your brand story.  

Simply ask yourself: how do I want my tourism experience to look? to sound? to feel? to smell? and taste?  This is not only a fun exercise, but it is a creative way to add value to your tourism product or service.  

Look around you: there are likely some special cultural and natural cues that could easily be incorporated into your offering that strengthen your brand story.
