Steve Bartlett

Steve joined us as the very first member of the Firecircle Ignite team. He was halfway through learning all about Firecircle before we even got the position out the door to him. That tells you a little bit about Steve: in his own words, he is very proud of being part of Firecircle and he’s a wonderful ambassador for the work we are all doing together to uplift Canada’s tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs.

Steve has a passion for the travel and hospitality industry that is something to behold. Taking care of guests is in his DNA. And let’s just say that Steve had pretty much been through every role you can possibly imagine in the hotel and hospitality industry, knocking it out of the park in every area. Operations? Check. Sales and marketing? Check. Recruitment? Oh ya. Revenue management? Magic! Plus, Steve makes you giggle before he even says anything. He is a storyteller, who likes to tell stories about the unique experiences he has been fortunate to have while working in the industry. We call them his elevator chronicles.

Steve knows hotels and the travel biz like nobody’s business: with over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Steve has worked throughout Canada and the US for many national and internationally recognized hotel brands (IHG, Delta, Radisson). His career has provided him with many opportunities, including spending 10 years as a National and Global Sales Director.

Steve holds an MBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Guelph and is a proud member of the Manitoba Metis Federation, The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, and the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC). We could not be happier to have Steve bring his amazing energy, humour, enthusiasm, knowledge and caring to Firecircle’s Ignite Team.
